Volcan de mi Tierra, Tequila B.T

From the Agrotequilera distillery comes Volcan De Mi Tierra B.T, a blanco tequila made of 100% agave plants sourced from the volcanic lowlands of Jalisco, Mexico. The B.T stands for Blanco Tahona, a name derived from the volcanic stone wheel that presses the agave. This craft spirit uses a brick clay oven to roast the agave for 12 hours, along with natural fermentation and copper pot distillation.
Nose
Petrichor, minerality, roasted nuts
Palate
Salinity, grapefruit, pink peppercorn
Finish
Sea spray, grapefruit zest, nuttiness
There is some serious earthiness in this blanco tequila. On the nose, wet soil, petrichor, minerality, and clay are grounded with cooked agave and roasted nuts. On the palate, salted grapefruit is offset wonderfully with a crack of pink peppercorn, while the finish continues with its salinity and has the texture of the skin on the outside of a nut.
