Clynelish 1983 was released as part of the inaugural Diageo Rare Series in 2026. This expression spent 42 years in American oak refill casks, allowing the distillery's trademark sweet and waxy profile to shine bright. Bottled at cask strength and limited to just 160 bottles, this is a rare gem for Clynelish collectors.

Nose

Rose petals, butterscotch, tropical fruit, milk chocolate

Palate

Candle wax, pineapple, salted caramel

Finish

Petrichor

This coastal highland whisky wears its age lightly, dare I say it, as only a Brora can. This whisky was distilled in the months around Brora’s closure, at which time the two distilleries were making very similar spirit. It’s fragrant and sweet on the nose, offering flower petals, butterscotch, tropical fruit, and milk chocolate. The typically creamy, candle-wax texture complements the sweetness, but behind that are layers of complexity: more rose petals, and hints of minerality: damp beach rocks, salt, and petrichor.
