Johnnie Walker, The Couture Blend

Another withdrawal has been made from the Johnnie Walker Vault, the library of 500 Scotch whiskies selected from Diageo’s vast inventory. The Vault primarily offers a £50,000 ($66,000) in-person blending experience with master blender Dr Emma Walker. Consider this the readymade edition, only this time it’s Olivier Rousteing’s story. The Balmain creative director found a kindred spirit in Dr Walker, and this release marks their second collaboration after Couture Expression. That debut was limited to 100 bottles priced at $20,000 each. This sequel is more democratic ($2,500 for one of 1,500 bottles worldwide), combining the best elements of the four seasonal blends that inspired it.
