This exceptional Linkwood is part of a pioneering maturation trial, combining 12 years in refill casks with over 25 years in four new Pedro Ximenez/Oloroso-seasoned American oak casks. The result is a whisky of remarkable depth, where rich sherry flavors blend seamlessly with creamy texture and toasted, spicy notes from the new oak. For the Prima & Ultima Second Release, master of malts Maureen Robinson noted: “With its long, sweet-spicy finish and lingering hints of chocolate, this is a truly unique whisky."

Rich mince pies, candied orange and polished oak set up a warmly spiced nose. The palate stays creamy with ripe plum sweetness and a drying PX influence. Water rounds it out. The finish is long, warm and lightly chocolatey.
