A first and a last, The Singleton of Glen Ord 1987 is the only release from its vintage, drawn from the final remaining casks. Crafted with patience, each cask was monitored until it reached its peak, resulting in an elegant whisky with a fragrant, inviting nose and a creamy, smooth texture. The palate delivers a sweet, satisfying richness, layered with deep fruity notes and subtle hints of ginger. Selected by Diageo's Dr. Craig Wilson, this is one of eight meticulously curated whiskies in the Prima & Ultima Third Release.

Nose

Freshly cut timber, tinned peaches, rose petals, cream, sandalwood

Palate

Butterscotch, vanilla pods, orchard fruits, oak spice

Finish

Tannins, white pepper, floral notes, oak spice

Freshly cut timber gives way to peach and rose petals with richer notes of perfumed cream and sandalwood below. The palate is refined with a creamy texture, gentle fruit depth and delicate spice. The finish is medium and softly drying with white pepper and floral lift.
