Lagavulin, Prima & Ultima Third Release

A mature Lagavulin drawn from the final two casks filled in 1993, the year the distillery began a run of international recognition under manager Grant Carmichael. Now at full maturity, it shows redcurrant notes on the nose before shifting toward maritime elements, including sea salt and sweet seaweed. Rich and rounded, it reflects Lagavulin at a settled, confident stage of its development.
