Glen Scotia's first entry into the fine and rare Scotch category, this 46 Year Old was it's oldest and rarest whisky at the time of release, limited to 150 bottles. Distilled decades earlier and nurtured under master distiller Iain McAlister, the liquid spent much of its life in refill bourbon casks before three years in first-fill bourbon and a final four years in an oloroso sherry cask. The result was a richly layered whisky, showcasing both Campbeltown character and historical depth, with tropical fruit, subtle Christmas spices, and a whisper of sea spray.

Nose

Mango, pineapple, oranges, caramel, sea spray

Palate

Pineapple, vanilla, brown sugar, baked apple, orange zest

Finish

Cinnamon, nutmeg, sea spray

Tropical fruit dominates the nose with mango, pineapple and fresh orange joined by caramel and sea spray. The palate is oily and vibrant with pineapple, vanilla and baked apple wrapped in brown sugar and citrus zest. The long finish brings cinnamon, nutmeg and Campbeltown salinity.
