Bowmore and Aston Martin raised the bar with ARC-52, a 52 Year Old single malt presented in a striking, motion-inspired decanter designed using advanced 3D printing. Limited to just 100 bottles at $75,000 each, the whisky is a marriage of refill European and American oak casks. Remarkably fresh for its age, it balances orchard fruit, light peat and maritime notes with mature nutty depth, proving age and vitality can coexist.

Orchard fruit and mandarin lead a restrained nose with a hint of smoke and sea salt. Time uncovers rare minty notes typical of older Bowmore. The palate is fresh with grapes and clementine before soft peat gives way to nutty influence from aged wood. The finish turns medicinal with butterscotch emerging late.
