Glenmorangie, Pursuit of Passion Wine Cask Collection – Barbaresco
The Barbaresco Cask Finish formed part of Glenmorangie’s Pursuit of Passion Wine Cask Collection, highlighting extended maturation in Italian red wine casks. After an initial period in ex-bourbon wood, the whisky was transferred to Barbaresco casks from Piedmont, where it remained for more than 18 years. Bottled at 28 years old, the whisky developed a darker, more robust character, with layered spice, herbal notes and rich fruit influence, demonstrating the intensity and structure that long-aged Nebbiolo casks can impart.
