The GlenAllachie, 35 Year Old

The GlenAllachie entered the fine and rare category with the release of its first-ever 35 Year Old single malt, the oldest whisky in the distillery’s history. Overseen by Billy Walker, the whisky was matured and reworked across six casks, including Pedro Ximénez, oloroso and virgin oak. Bottled as a limited, premium release, it showcases GlenAllachie’s sherry-forward style with added depth, structure and mature complexity shaped by long ageing and careful cask selection.
Nose
Dried fruit, cinnamon, banana fritter, honey
Palate
Chocolate, mocha, raisins, dried fruit
Finish
Cinnamon, nutmeg, honey
Strong sherry cues set the nose with dried fruit and cinnamon, followed by fresh fruit, banana fritter and honey. The palate skirts the edge of a sherry bomb with chocolate, mocha, raisins and dried fruit, all softened by a light, tannin-free texture. Christmas spice leads the finish with cinnamon, nutmeg and a late touch of honeyed sweetness.
