The Glenturret, Still Life, Summer
The Glenturret released Still Life Summer as the third edition in its Still Life Decanter Series, celebrating seasonal character through mature cask selection. Created by whisky maker Bob Dalgarno, the whisky combines three ex-bourbon hogsheads and two first-fill sherry casks, all aged for at least 25 years. Bottled at 40.5% ABV and presented in Lalique crystal, the whisky shows a light, fruit-led profile with balance between tropical sweetness and gentle sherry-driven spice.

A lively nose of fruit salad, strawberries, pineapple and vanilla moves into cereal sweetness. The palate shows more of the first-fill sherry casks with dried fruit, cinnamon and aniseed before the hogshead influence returns with pineapple and coconut. The finish keeps both cask styles in harmony, helped by the light texture and lower strength.
