Loch Lomond, 50 Year Old

Loch Lomond released a 50 Year Old single malt drawn from a small parcel of its oldest stock, limited to 100 decanters. Distilled in 1973 using unpeated barley, the whisky matured primarily in refill ex-bourbon casks before periods in first-fill bourbon and an oloroso sherry hogshead. This extended, multi-stage maturation preserved distillery character while building layered complexity. Bottled at cask strength, the release marked one of the most mature expressions ever produced by the distillery.
