The Last Drop, Japanese Blended Malt, Release No.25
This is Last Drop Distillers' first Japanese whisky, a 20-year-old blended malt featuring liquid from the now-closed Hanyu distillery alongside other undisclosed distilleries. After years of searching, the LDD team recognized this cask as exceptional, combining rarity with history from a distillery whose life was marked by struggle. Bottled at 60% ABV, the whisky balances power with elegance, offering floral and grassy notes that unfold with intensity. When reduced to around 45%, sweeter layers of vanilla and apricot emerge, highlighting the depth and versatility of a liquid that preserves the legacy of one of Japan’s most iconic ghost distilleries.
