Courvoisier, Mizunara
Courvoisier released Mizunara as a rare experimental cognac finished in Japanese mizunara oak, marking a departure from the house’s traditionally consistent style. Led by blender Patrice Pinet, a Grand Champagne cognac was transferred into a single mizunara puncheon for extended maturation, allowing the wood’s distinctive influence to emerge. Limited to 500 bottles and bottled at 48% ABV, the cognac combines Courvoisier’s floral profile with pronounced aromatic spice, sandalwood and tropical fruit, highlighting a new direction in cognac maturation.
